Residential Burglary Report 17 June 2020

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries or attempted burglaries to residential properties (including shed break-ins) over the last period (12 June 2020 – 17 June 2020). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known we have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

  • 12 June 2020 (17:00-22:30). Guildford Road. Suspect has gained entry by using an upstairs vent window over a flat porch roof to access and open a larger window. An untidy search of rooms in the house was undertaken and then the suspect left by the front door, leaving it fully open.
  • 15 June (19:00-19:20). Dukes Covert. Aggravated burglary. 4 males in masks have forced their way into a residential property. At least 1 armed with a long screwdriver, pushed and threatened the occupants and searched the property. Nothing known to be taken at this time.

Absconder/Awol/Wanted (1), ASB Nuisance (1), Burglary Business & Community (1), Burglary Residential (1), Child Protection Incident (3), Concern for Safety (1), Coronavirus (2), Crime Other (4 ***), Crime Public Order (1), Crime Vehicle (5 *), Criminal Damage (2), Domestic Incident (12), Drugs (4), Drunk / Drug in Charge (3), Family File (2), Fraud Vulnerable Victim (1), Hate / Diversity Incident (2), Neighbour Dispute (2), Out of Force Enquiries (1), Pets / Domestic Animals (1), Prescribed Limit Offence (3), Prevent Case management (1), Problem Solving (1), Public Order (1), Robbery (1 **), Sexual Offence (1), Stalking / Harassment (1), Suspicious Incident (3), Theft (6), Violent Crime Other (6), Violent Crime Public Place (2), Violent Domestic (2), Vulnerable Adult Incident (11).

* Including attempted break-in of van outside victims house (West End), theft of tools from vehicle (West end), theft of catalytic convertor (Camberley) and theft of fuel from vehicle (Bagshot).
** Aggravated residential burglary.
*** Suspicious activity around a car on a drive (Camberley).

Details from a number of these incidents may have been passed on to the specialist police burglary unit and where suspect vehicle number plates have been spotted, these too are circulated for ANPR notification.

As always, the local neighbourhood team are keen to receive information on all crime spotted or believed to have occurred as this can assist with ongoing enquiries, as well as helping to build up their wider intelligence picture.
