NHS Test and Trace service now live

Alert message sent 12/06/2020 20:41:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Message recived today from Tandridge District Council

Please make sure you & your Watch Members are aware of the following process to avoid being scammed

The NHS Test and Trace service will:
  • Provide testing for anyone who has symptoms of coronavirus, to find out if they have the virus.
  • Get in touch with anyone who has had a positive test result to help them share information about any close recent contacts they have had.
  • Alert those contacts, where necessary, notifying them they need to self-isolate to help stop the spread of the virus.

Find out how the test and trace service works and what happens if you test positive for COVID-19 or have had close contact with someone who has tested positive.

If you are contacted, text messages will come from the NHS and calls from 0300 013500. A list of things to help you identify if you’ve been contacted by a genuine contact tracer is available at www.nhs.uk
