FREE online seminars to celebrate Neighbourhood Watch week 7th to 13th June 2020

The Neighbourhood Network team are hosting a range of Zoom seminars to mark Neighbourhood Watch Week 2020; supporting individuals and groups to create safer, stronger and active communities.

Everyone is welcome and joining in these sessions is easy – just email the team on office@nnetwork.org.uk and a secure link will be sent the day prior.

Monday 8th June – General Cyber Crime Awareness @ 7pm
Hosted by PC Alistair Kennedy of the Cyber Crime Unit at Humberside Police, this popular session takes you through general ways on how you can keep yourself safe online and how criminals target people in simple yet effective ways.

Tuesday 9th June – Preventing Crime Presentation @ 2pm
Hosted by the Neighbourhood Network team, highlighting the things criminals are looking out for and how you can protect yourselves and your property and reducing the chances of becoming a victim of crime.

Wednesday 10th June – Neighbourhood Watch and using social media @ 10.30am
Hosted by the Neighbourhood Network team, discussing the pros and cons of using social media such as Facebook, to run your group. Highlighting tips and tricks and showing good examples of groups using these methods.

Thursday 11th June – Cyber Crime: Hackers and Social Engineering @ 10.30am
Hosted by PC Alistair Kennedy of the Cyber Crime Unit at Humberside Police, this new session has been added due to feedback from previous sessions, with the interest to learn more on cybercrime.   This session will focus on Hackers and Social engineering, the art of how criminals manipulate people to obtain confidential information –– definitely better to be aware of these tactics.

Friday 12th June – Wildlife talk @ 10.30am
This session gives you the chance to pick the brains of a local wildlife expert– asking him about anything wildlife, such as would you like to encourage more wildlife into your garden or community green space?
