Tissington and Carsington Police Update

Alert message sent 03/06/2020 17:28:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Dear Residents,

We hope that you are all well & keeping safe.

Following on from the recent good weather & changes in Government guidance, we are aware of the significant concerns of many in respect of the massive increase in vehicles, bikers & footfall over recent days.

We have been dealing with multiple reports of parking issues, congregating groups, breaches of COVID19 legislation/guidance & anti social behaviour such as littering/BBQ's/parties etc. This alongside the normal activity around crimes & anti social behaviour.

We are continuing to work in conjunction with Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Town & Parish Councils, The Peak Park Authority, National Trust, Trading Standards, Neighbouring Forces & other partner agencies such as Severn Trent to deal with the challenges we face. We are also working with local residents such as in Thorpe, to come up with practical solutions to assist with any future good weather/increase in numbers.

Please continue to be minded as to which Agency is best situated in order to deal with any issues that arise or any you foresee over the coming weeks.

Please continue to report any crimes or anti social behaviour via 101/social media or 999 (emergency).

Kind regards & best wishes,

Ashbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team
