Alert message sent 22/05/2020 16:25:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Vehicle Break

We have suffered an incident of a vehicle break in on the Burbage road. The victim had their car window smashed and items taken. This happened overnight on the 17th May between 22:30-0700. If you have any CCTV and get the opportunity to check for any suspicious behaviour please contact me quoting 20*250324.

Please also take this incident as a reminder to ensure you check your vehicle is empty of possessions even if they are not valuable. Remember not to leave anything on show including bits of cash, sunglasses, bags and always remove phones/laptops. Before you go into your home or before you go to bed at night just have a quick check your vehicle is empty and secure.

Anti-social behaviour

We have also received a report of Anti-social behaviour on the outdoor gym area off Brookside involving a quad bike. We are patrolling the area but if you have any information please get in touch.

Stolen Items

We have had reports of items being stolen from the Aston lane area over the last week. This includes fishing equipment and a bicycle. Please remember that during COVID-19 you may not be doing your normal activities or work so ensure you keep these items locked and secured and please check on them on a regular basis. If you have any knowledge of this or have seen anything suspicious in the area over the last week please get in touch.

As more people have returned to work this week, PLEASE continue to be conscious around home security. Keep windows/doors locked if you are not about. Hide money and jewellery. Set house alarms when you are not in and keep a look out for suspicious behaviour when you are in.

If you have any information relating to criminal activity, please do not hesitate to contact us. Patrols are continuing throughout the area to reduce crime. Any information you may have regarding criminality would be appreciated.

Take care and see you soon.

Please feel free to RATE, SHARE, PRINT or COMMENT. If you would like to see anything different please let me know. We are still growing and learning with Neighbourhood Link so spread the work to family and friends to try and help reduce crime.
