Compromised Bank Account Fraud Warning

Police Scotland are investigating a number of frauds across the area where a call is received purporting to be from a bank. The context of the call is that your bank account has been compromised and that the your money requires to be moved to a more secure account to ensure it's safety. The details of the account that the money has to be transferred are given to allow you to transfer your money.

Banks will never ask you to transfer your money to another account.

This is a scam, a fraud and a crime.

If you have been the victim of this type of crime report it to Police Scotland on Tel 101.
