Residential Burglary Report 19 May 2020

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries or attempted burglaries to residential properties (including shed break-ins) over the last period (13 – 19 May 2020). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known we have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

  • 16 May (03:05). Bracknell Close. Attempted Burglary. Owner heard the rattling of handles of both of the doors (front and side of the house) at 3am, turned on all the lights and rattling stopped. Scuff marks were found on the side door.

  • 19 May (03:00). Station Road. Suspect/s have gained entry through the kitchen window situated at the side of the house.  Once inside they have taken wine from the wine rack before breaking a teapot and leaving by the same route.
  • 18 May (18:30) – 19 May (05:30). Little Heath Road. Offender(s) have entered house via smashing glass in rear French doors and carried out an untidy search of two bedrooms. Subsequent review of CCTV showed three males breaking in.

ASB Nuisance (1), Burglary Business and Community (2), Burglary Residential (3), Child Protection Incident (6), Coronavirus (9), Crime Other (7), Crime Public Order (1), Crime Vehicle (1)*, Criminal Damage (8), Custody Admin (2), Domestic Incident (6), Drug Seizure (1), Drugs (2), Drunk / Drug in Charge (3), DVPO (1), Family File (2), Fraud Vulnerable Victim (1), Mental Health (1), Missing Person – High Risk (1), Missing Person – Medium Risk (1), Neighbour Dispute (2), Not Validated Crime (2), Out of Force Enquiries (1), Prescribed Limit Offence (1), Problem Solving (1), Public Order (5), Road Related Offence (1), Sexual Offence (1), Sudden Death Non Suspicious (1), Suspicious Incident (1), Theft (7)**, Violent Crime Other (2), Violent Crime Public Place (1), Violent Domestic (4), Vulnerable Adult Incident (11)

Notes regards some of the above:
* Theft of Mercedes E250 Sport AMG off the drive – suspected cloning of keys during sale viewing (Camberley)
** Including theft from van (Chobham)

Details from a number of these incidents may have been passed on to the specialist police burglary unit and where suspect vehicle number plates have been spotted, these too are circulated for ANPR notification.

As always, the local neighbourhood team are keen to receive information on all crime spotted or believed to have occurred as this can assist with ongoing enquiries, as well as helping to build up their wider intelligence picture.
