Vulnerable adults

Alert message sent 20/05/2020 12:35:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

Hi Citizen

Yesterday Officers attended an address of a vulnerable adult.
Upon arrival at the address, the cupboards and fridge were empty, the male hadn't eaten for days and had no way of contacting anyone to ask for help.

Officers arranged an emergency visit from Social Services but in the meantime @SainsburysLythamStAnnesSuperstore Lytham St Annes donated a care package with some essentials for this male.
A member of staff at Sainsbury's overheard the request and gave an additional £5 out of his own pocket to top up the electric meter which was almost empty.

We just want to say a massive Thankyou to Sainsbury's for the kindness and generosity they have shown during this difficult time!

Please look out for your most vulnerable neighbours who may be struggling more than usual.

If you know a vulnerable person requiring food, medicine or other support please contact: href="mailto:helpneeded@fylde.gov.uk" target="_blank">helpneeded@fylde.gov.uk or call 01253 658448

Many thanks
