Celebrate VE Day at Home

Alert message sent 07/05/2020 12:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Tomorrow (8/5) we mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, the end of the Second World War in Europe. This is a time to reflect, remember and give thanks to all those who played a part and made the ultimate sacrifice.

In light of the ongoing social distancing restrictions, the celebrations will look quite different to how we all may have planned. It is important that we come together as a nation to continue to do all we can to stop the spread of the virus, stay at home, protect the NHS and ultimately save lives.

Looking for inspiration of how to celebrate at home? There are still many ways you can get involved and show your support. The Government have put together a programme of events with lots of useful things to watch, information and creative ideas which can be found here.

You can join the celebrations across the UK online by searching or using #VEDay75
