Deaf Awareness Week 2020

Alert message sent 07/05/2020 11:30:00

Information sent on behalf of Beds Fire & Rescue Service

Here at Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service we are supporting Deaf Awareness Week. As part of our communications activities we thought it would be a good time to let you know how we here at Beds Fire are able to help;

Alarms for the hearing impaired

If you have, or someone you know has, difficulty hearing, there are special smoke alarms to warn you if there's a fire and to give you time to get out safely. They use flashing lights as well as an audible alarm and include a vibrating pad to alert you if you are in bed asleep.

If you require one of these alarms or would like to request a safe and well visit and live in Bedfordshire call us now on 01234 845000 or contact safeandwell@bedsfire.gov.uk.

Even during these difficult times we are still available to provide support for our communities.
If you would like more information on how we can support with home safety check out our website here https://www.bedsfire.gov.uk/home.aspx#

Did you know that if you are hard of hearing or deaf that you can text 999. Our Fire Control will be able to pick up your emergency message.
