 Local News!
Sadly there has been an increase in domestic abuse in the last few weeks and we have received more calls of this nature. Remember help is there and the police will come and will arrest and deal if it is appropriate and necessary.  The following link may be worth keeping and sharing openthedoorcheshire.org.uk
During the last month the amount of anti-social behavior has obviously reduced due to the lock down rules and we have little to report.
Policing has continued with arrests and cars impounded from our area. But where possible we have been carrying out the social distancing rules.
Good results
A male was stopped in the Old town and arrested charged and sentenced for possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He was originally stopped for speeding and the Alert local office and special constable found a substantial amount of cocaine.
A second male was arrested and charged with four attempt burglaries. He was remanded to prison and awaits sentence keeping our community safer.

Parking Ongoing enforcement has been carried out in the area with both advice and fixed penalty tickets issued. This has been enforced over the last few weeks and will continue
Roads Policing
Tru-Cam enforcement is still ongoing and this is to reduce the pressure on the NSH with potential road traffic accidents. We will however, be trying to encourage, educate and give advice during the next few weeks.
Community information
We have an ongoing operation to deal with illegal and off road bikes any information would be gratefully received.
Our main aim over the next period is to keep people safe we are here to offer advice and guidance if necessary we will be visible and encoring the public to adhere to the government rules on staying at home saving lives and protecting the NHS.

We are keen over the coming months to try to advertise the introduction of Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Mersey area via the Cheshire Alert web page.
If any members of Cheshire Alert would like to set-up and become a coordinator of a watch scheme then we, as the police, will offer support and advice in any way we can. My e-mail is attached at the bottom of this newsletter and I look forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to set-up a scheme that we can get involved with.
