Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Another nuisance off road bike removed from the streets of Notts following a tip off by a members of the public around Bestwood/ Bulwell Forest.

1415 hours Monday 4th May 2020 PC Clark and PC Gummer of the City North Beat Team were out searching for the nuisance bike.

1416 hours they spotted an off road biker turning right out of Northcote Way, no helmet on, riding on the wrong side of the road along Highbury Road.

Officers illuminated the Police vehicle to advise the rider that he had forgotten his helmet, L plates and VRM plate but being keen to socially distance himself from us the rider turned left and shot off upto the top of Northern Court.

Initailly thinking they had lost all chances of stopping the rider as he decided to drive up a pedestrian walkway the rider found himself stuck between the metal chicanes.

Unable to move forward or backwards on the bike and unable to get off quick enough to run away, the rider found himself detained and his newly purchased bike off to the crusher by 1417 hours.
