Alert message sent 30/04/2020 19:41:00

Information sent on behalf of Cambridgeshire Constabulary

Dear E coppers.
Good Evening and I hope I find you all well. I guess not many of you have been sitting in the garden today. There has certainly been some impressive skies. Even if they are dropping rain on us.
Out and about on the beat we have again found our local communities very peaceful. With no issues or concerns arising. This afternoon we were tasked to patrol Whittlesey, and our roamings found us at The Dog and Doublet pub. The pub has put out a hot drink serve yourself facility, so we decided to stop for a brief break. While taking a short break, I managed to see my first Swift of 2020, flying high overhead. I wondered if he might be thinking, Where have all the People gone" they were here last year.
The new normal takes some getting used to, and it would be something pleasant if it was not for Covid. Communities are certainly peaceful, and people are pulling together. I hope this continues when we come out of this situation.
Bicycle riding has never been more popular, which is another positive. If you should be out and about jogging or cycle riding, alone or with your family please wear something reflective if possible. Traffic is reduced, but you never know when a birdwatching Pcso may be driving down the road !!  I have encountered persons using up all the road while on patrol.
Just been nudged that is nearly 8.00. So I better get out.
will be off the next three days, but as usual my colleagues will be out and about.
Until next week, Stay safe.
Pcso Jonathan Hall
