Can you Identify these People Fly-Tipping?

Alert message sent 22/04/2020 08:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Can you Help?

Two people were caught on camera fly-tipping in Hull earlier this month.

The offenders were caught dropping waste on land between Alaska Street and Buckingham Street.

On Monday 6 April, a man was caught dumping bags of waste before walking off.

And just a few days later on Friday 10 April, a woman was caught dumping a single mattress in the same area.

Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for Streetscene, said: “By taking a tough stance on enforcement, we can deter any potential offenders. We encourage members of the public not to shrink from reporting any perpetrators they see.
“We will prosecute and, when a conviction is secured, we will name and shame in the hope that we can stamp out this anti-social behaviour.”

Doug Sharp, assistant manager of Streetscene, said: “Reporting of fly-tipping has reduced significantly but we are still seeing incidences continue across the city and additional waste put out on collection day.
“We have additional resources in place to provide a quick response, but we urge residents to continue to get in touch with us if they do witness any fly-tipping.”
