RIP Nurse Mary

Alert message sent 16/04/2020 09:40:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Good Morning All.
I was saddened to hear the news of a pregnant Nurse from the L&D who has died from Covid 19.
Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong worked for the L&D for 5 years I understand and was regarded as a fantastic Nurse and a credit to the profession. Her baby was born prior to her passing which was good news although she will never know the love of her mother whilst growing up,very sad. My condolences go out to her family and friends at this difficult time.
This is another example of why we need to continue with the weekly clapping for the NHS and other care workers giving so much during this crisis. Lets hope some sort of memorial to all the Medics and carers who have so unselfishly lost their lives whilst protecting and caring for us will be erected after this Virus has been defeated.
Please remember to clap at 2000hrs tonight, clap so loud it deafens people like Mary who deserve it.
I'm not sure if you are aware that there are about the same number of prosecutions for abuse and assaults on the NHS and emergency services as there were prior to the Covid crisis. What has happened to the world, it beggars belief. I truly hope those responsible will be harshly dealt with.
Lastly on a very positive note, hats off to Captain Tom Moore from Bedfordshire, you are a legend Sir, £12m is amazing. Enjoy your birthday on the 30th, you deserve it.

Stay Safe and Well all.
