Burbage Police Update

Alert message sent 03/04/2020 10:10:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Crime in Burbage

Residential burglary and theft of/from vehicle crime figures are very good this week, but please remember advice like not leaving items in your car or van. Lock gates and doors to your home, set the house alarm if you have one when you go out and try not to keep cash or jewellery lying around the house.
Also be mindful of scams, please see Action Fraud for up to date news https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/. Remember that the elderly and vulnerable are often targeted so if you see anything of any concern call 101 or 999 to report.

Thank you for all your offers of help in the community during this difficult time. I have passed the details onto HBBC so they will contact you as and when needed. I am also aware that lots of you are looking out for your neighbours and elderly in your street so thank you. Your help will hopefully make sure nobody gets missed.

The Silver Line

The Silver Line is a helpline for older people. You can call anytime and it is free. It provides information, friendship and advice to older people. Have a look on the link below for more information.

We are actively patrolling public places and challenging behaviour that does not comply with Government guidelines https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus. We are asking residents to think of others and do as they are being asked to do to keep themselves and others safe. I have seen and heard of lots of team work and support that Burbage residents have done to support each other. Please continue to do so and hopefully we will get through this difficult time very soon.

Kind regards,
