Alert message sent 25/03/2020 19:11:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear all,
These are unprecedented times and we know that these circumstances will be difficult for you and your families. But please be assured that Billesley Neighbourhood Team are here for you and that our priority is to keep you safe. We will continue to patrol our communities, bring offenders to justice and help those in need of our assistance and offer advice and reassurance.
This is a time where we all must pull together and look after each other. Please listen to the restrictions that have been put in place no matter how inconvenient they may be for you. Remember that they have been implemented for a very good reason. The more that we all cooperate, the safer we will be and the quicker this terrible situation will come to an end. I would like to say thank you to those who are adhering to the advice given out by our government and keeping yourself and loved ones safe through this virus.
It is very important that you do not leave your homes unless absolutely necessary.
The Billesley Neighbourhood team are conducting patrols around the area and mainly around the shopping retail areas. We are working closely with other neighbourhood team to conduct these patrols throughout the day. We want you to know that we are around the area if needed and are keeping in touch with the vulnerable residents on our neighbourhood who may need support or assistance through this difficult time. If you know any vulnerable members that need assistance or help feel free to get in touch with the team (our details are below) and we will make contact with them. Could I remind you all that in this difficult time look after one another, look after your neighbours and help out as much as you can.
Please know where your children are at all times, don’t allow them to wander the streets in groups. We understand that they will miss friends and be bored at home but these measures have been put in place for their safety and it will allow us to help those that need us rather than dispersing groups of youths.
Please be considerate when shopping. Remember that everybody is in the same situation, there is enough food and toiletries for everyone. If you take more than you need others will suffer.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation and patience during this very challenging time. Helping each other and being good neighbours has never been so vital and working together is imperative in order to prevent the spread of this terrible virus.
Please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone, email or twitter. Our team email account billesley@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk
You could follow us on our twitter page @BillesleyWMP for any updates.

Best wishes
Billesley NHT
