Alert message sent 12/03/2020 17:00:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Following a release about the theft of a woman's purse, which contained a lock of her mother’s hair, we are now issuing a CCTV image of two women we would like to speak to in relation to this.

Between 11am and 11.30am on Saturday 25 January, the victim, who's in her 40s, was shopping in Swindon town centre when her cream-coloured Radley purse was stolen from her handbag.  It's believed it could have taken while she was in Shoezone or Peacocks.

The unknown offender(s) then used a bank card to withdraw cash.

A CCTV image of two women we would like to speak to is attached in this link, they are described as:

1. White, approx. 30-years-old, slim to medium build, dark hair in a ponytail, having a round shaped face, wearing a green coat with a fur collar, dark trousers and black trainers.
2. White, wearing a black brimmed hat, black coat, grey top and black trousers and shoes.
If you recognise either of the women in the image, please contact PC Brown on 101, quoting crime reference number 54200008676.
Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
