Information sent on behalf of Gloucestershire Constabulary

Dear residents,

I would like to respectfully advise you, that there have been a few house breaks over the last few days in the Stroud area.

May I ask you all to be extra careful and double check all your doors, windows, garages, sheds and conservatories ensuring they are all locked and secure. Some of the break ins have been at the rear of the houses/bungalows, and this may be out of sight of the neighbours.

Again, if you are leaving the property for any time, leave your lights on timer switches, a radio on, or sometimes the TV. If you do have cctv, leave a notice in your door or windows stating this. Anything to put a opportunist off breaking into your house.

Don't forget it's school holidays next week, if you are away, ask a neighbour to keep an eye on your property, and ensure you use the timer switches on your lights.

Stay safe,

Kind regards,

Jayne
