VEHICLE SEIZED UNDER POLICE REFORM ACT 2002 IN PARSON CROSS AREA

This VW Golf was recovered from Deerlands Close, Parson Cross yesterday evening by the Parson Cross Team. The driver previously issued a Section 59 warning for using their vehicle in a manner that causes "alarm, distress or annoyance" within the area continued to cause issues within our community and we therefore took action. Vehicle now sat at the recovery compound awaiting a release fee that increases daily.

Vehicles can be seized under this Act if the police officer / PCSO reasonably believes that a mechanically propelled vehicle is being used in a manner causing, or likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to the public.

This is the 6th vehicle the team have taken off the streets so far this year.
