Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen,
Good Morning,

Are you interested in strengthening your community and making it a safer place to live, or just meeting new friends?
The Rurals Police Team have exciting opportunity for residents living in and around the Bentley Heath area who wish to get involved in their communities and help make a difference. Volunteers will be joining the existing Bentley Heath Street Watch Scheme, patrolling alongside other members of their community.
Street Watch is a scheme run by the community for the community in partnership with the police. Street watch is about walking your local area as a good citizen and to help take responsibility for your local areas and to help tackle the low level issues that impact most on your communities and quality of life.

Volunteers are asked if they see anything suspicious during their patrols, are asked to do is report it to the police. They can also give active support to the community by providing reassurance and a visible presence to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

Your local street watch co-ordinator will give you day to day support, so you know what to look out for and you will also have support from us, your local police team. Street watch members commit to patrolling their streets for an average of 2 hours a month.

If you are interested or would like further information on the scheme, please either reply back to this message or email myself directly on w.shale@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
