Arrest for dangerous driving

Alert message sent 11/02/2020 09:15:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

A male has been successfully arrested and charged for an offence from last year for dangerous driving on and around the Oakham Road in Kates Hill. The offender was found to be driving a stolen car using false number plates. The chase began after failing to stop and then was arrested prior to a foot chase beginning after attempting to abandon the vehicle in a field.

I urge you to still remain vigilant when out and about as winter is still floating around and causing current road conditions to not be in the best. Especially as Storm Ciara is still due to be causing potential issues for the next couple of days (correct at time of writing 11th Feb 2020).

If you do see anything suspicious and/or dangerous then please do not hesitate to contact us when it is safe and legal to do so on any of the following.

Ring 999 - when an emergency
Ring 101 - when a non-emergency
