Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
23 January to 5 February 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Lime Street – Entry gained via insecure back door.  Packet of cigarettes taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Wellswood Road – Unknown offender has approached the ground floor bedroom window and pulled the window open.  Upon being disturbed by the occupants, they have run off.
  • St. Pauls
  • Kronsbec Avenue – unsuccessful attempt to make entry into premises via rear door causing slight damage.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Neston Road – Black and orange KTM 990 Superduke motorcycle, VX07 KOH taken after shed broken into.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Whilst at ‘Whitby Sports & Social Club’ unattended purse taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Rossbank Road – Ford Transit, YP63 GWJ taken from the forecourt of ‘Port Van Sales’ by unknown means.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Neston Road – Group of unknown males force entry into shed and remove a black and orange KTM 990 Superduke motorcycle, VX07 KOH that had been connected to a charger.  The bike was then dragged into a nearby graveyard where attempts were made to remove an additional security feature before putting it into the boot of a silver vehicle and driving off.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Eddisbury Road – Peugeot 107 entered by unknown means and Crewe Alexandra training kit, initialled with ’BJ’, tow rope, jump leads, air compressor and phone charger taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Lower Mersey Street – Secure BMW 330, parked on car park of ‘Holiday Inn’ found with boot open.  Access gained to boot by removal of rear light.   Nothing taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hans Hall Road – Citroen C4, parked on overflow car park has rear window smashed and parcel shelf thrown onto the back seat.  Nothing taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Grace Road – Toyota Avensis has both wing mirrors damaged.  One completely snapped off and the other left hanging by cabling. – Damage previously caused to vehicle during the period of the previous bulletin.
  • Tees Court – BMW 120D, parked to rear of courts has windscreen smashed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Rossmore Road West – Vauxhall Astra, parked at Rossmore Court has all four tyres slashed.
  • Rivacre area – Citroen C3 parked at roadside has wing mirror knocked off.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Nissan Navara has tyre deflated and is keyed along the side of the vehicle.
