Crime Info for Humberston and New Waltham Ward: January 2020

Local News Update


Dear Resident,

I will send you the crime detail monthly which you will be able to receive via the alert. This is the same report that is sent to both Humberston and New Waltham Parish Councils for their meetings which is held on a monthly basis.

Humberston Ward

Crime

There have been 48 reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for January. There were 33 reports for Humberston, of which 12 were at the Tesco store.

Domestic Burglary: 1                                                                                                    
Between 27th & 30th January a home on Midfield Road was broken into by smashing a UPVC door. Jewellery was stolen.

Commercial Burglary: 2                                                                                                      
Between 9th & 15th January a compound on the Wilton Road Industrial Estate was entered after the perimeter fence was cut. A storage container was broken into and a large quantity of cable was stolen.                             
During the early hours of 25th January a male entered the Tesco store. He gained entry to the closed mobile phone kiosk and attempted to steal phones on display. When this failed he attempted to remove a TV. The male left the store and returned a short time later stealing a TV. This male has been charged with these offences.                                                                                                         
Criminal Damage: 2                                                                                                                 
On two occasions over 10th & 11th January a male has attended the Tetney Car Sales and caused damage to 12 vehicles by scratching the bodywork or puncturing tyres.                                                                                     
A car parked on Fieldhouse Road had damage caused to the roof by using an implement to scratch the bodywork.                               
Two damages were caused by residents of a home on Humberston Avenue.         
Two damages were reported at Tesco.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
Other crimes include:                                                                                                                        
Ten shop thefts, two from Spar, the remainder from Tesco.                                                       
Five assaults.

There have been five reports of ASB:      
Tesco cars driving dangerously on the car park x2.                                                                
Tesco male begging outside the store.                                                                                     
Tesco YCA throwing items at security.                                                                                          
Thorpe park youngsters riding round the site on bikes.                                                         
Humberston Avenue youngsters on a building site.                                                                
One domestic related nuisance                                                                       

New Waltham Ward

Crime

There have been 48 reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for January. There have been 15 reported crimes for New Waltham, of which, the following have occurred.

During the early hours of 23rd January an attempt was made to force patio doors at a home on Harvey Walk. No entry was gained.
Overnight 16th & 17th January outbuildings containing riding equipment at a farm on Louth Road were entered. Nothing was stolen.
A front number plate was stolen from a car at the Toll Bar Motors overnight 10th & 11th January                                    Overnight 30th & 31st January two cars at a garage on Louth Road had entry forced. Attempts were made to steal radios and hot wire the vehicles        
                               
Other crimes include:                                                                                                                    
Shop theft from Spar.                                                                                                  
Make off without payment for fuel from Toll Bar Service Station.                                              
Two assaults.                                                                                                                       
Possession of cannabis.
There have been no reports of ASB.
