Crime Prevention Advice

Alert message sent 19/01/2020 14:23:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Good Afternoon,

Now the cold frosty weather is back just a reminder not to leave your keys in the car and engine running whilst defrosting.

Last year we had a number of vehicles stolen whilst they were defrosting, after the owners went back inside their homes, leaving cars unattended.

There are many opportunists out there, especially in the early mornings, who will not hesitate in stealing your unattended vehicle.

Please remember that your insurance may not pay out if you leave the car running unlocked, unattended and with the key in the ignition.

Kind Regards,

31362 PCSO Rance | Neighbourhood Policing Officer
Wolverhampton NPU | West Midlands Police
