Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We're trying to identify a woman we would like to speak to in relation to the theft of a purse from a shopper in Salisbury.

At approximately 11am on Monday 14 October, a woman in her 70s was shopping at Marks and Spencer in the city when she noticed her shopping bag had been taken from her trolley containing her purse which had cash and bank cards inside.

One of the stolen cards was then used to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM and buy a train ticket.  It was also used to try and buy some jewellery from a local jewellers but was rejected.

Since the theft we have been making extensive enquiries and are now in a position to be able to release CCTV images in the hope we can identify the person in the pictures.   Find image here.

If you recognise this woman or know anything about this theft, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 54190102224.
