Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Good evening
The past 2 days have seen us looking for two cars in particular , one stolen from a burglary , the suspect for which has been arrested and is currently in the cells awaiting a court appearance tomorrow morning . The other car is responsible for county wide theft from unattended van which came through Charnwood yesterday and tried to break into vans on B&Q car park .

Details are not as good as I would like however vehicle 1 is a white Audi A1 which is a 2015 model , did have a 65 plate on it however we have that so it will be showing a false plate . I need to find this car , officers of course are looking however if you are out and about please keep your eyes peeled . Not wishing to state the obvious but some things to look out for
  • Is there a similar car parked in the street seemingly unattended for periods of time
  • Is there such a car in a communal car park near you that just doesn't fit in
  • Have you seen such a car driving at speed around Charnwood which made you look and think
  • Have you seen such a car with a number plate that doesn't match the age of the car or if the manner in which its attached to the car gives cause for concern ( not straight or with tape)
  • Is there such a car with a number plate that looks like its home made or lacking the makers postcode which is usually on the bottom of the plate in the middle
  • You see a car being driven by someone who just doesn't suit that car ( group of young men or women ) driver seems to evade your gaze
  • Have you seen such a car with the sun visors down and looks odd
Just a few signs that the car isn't what it should be , it is linked to Barrow , central loughborough and Outwoods , any sightings please call 101 or 999 if you think you have found it and persons with it .
The second car is a white Skoda Estate , black roof , black alloy wheels , no registration number but I would hope this will stand out to you if seen . Id expect that it will be at least two occupants in the car if not more and highly likely that it will be seen when it gets dark. This car is involved in theft from unattended vehicles so may be parked near to unattended work vans.

Happy hunting , thankyou for your continued support , more requests to follow no doubt
Mark
