Northamptonshire Police is naming drivers charged with drink or drug driving as part of a month-long campaign to tackle offending over the Christmas and New Year period.

Sunday, December 29:

• A 29-year-old man from Rushden was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit following a road traffic collision. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Monday, December 30:

• Georgi Kalaydzhievi, aged 45, of Shaftesbury Avenue, Leicester, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped by officers. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 20.

• A 19-year-old man from Desborough was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs after being stopped by officers. He has been released under investigation pending the results of a blood test.

• A 23-year-old woman from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs after being stopped by officers. She has been released under investigation pending the results of a blood test.

• A 50-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit following a road traffic collision. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Tuesday, December 31:

• Petru Plasciuc, aged 26, of Sandringham Walk, Corby, was charged with failing to provide a specimen in custody following a road traffic collision. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 22.

Wednesday, January 1:

• Alexander Barron, aged 27, of Billing Road, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped by officers. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 23.

• Vyachesla Talalayenko, aged 38, of Battalion Drive, Northampton, was charged with failing to provide a specimen in custody after being stopped by officers. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 23.

• Aaron Evans, aged 33, of Leyside Court, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped by officers. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 3.

• George-Raul Smarand, aged 41, of Pinewood Close, Kettering, was charged with failing to provide a specimen in custody after being stopped by officers. He appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 2.

• Sorinconstantin Zapor, aged 36, of Shire Road, Corby, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped by officers. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 23.

• Michael Gwiasdowski, aged 28, of Burnt Close, St Neots, was charged with failing to provide a specimen in custody after being stopped by officers. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 23.

• Bogdan Bilha, aged 23, of Austin Street, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped by officers in Wellingborough. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 23.

• Florin-Constantin Titiriga, aged 38, of Derngate, Northampton, was charged with being in charge of a motor vehicle whilst over the prescribed limit. He will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 23.

• A 33-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped by officers. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
