Vehicle recovery London Road Wellingborough

Alert message sent 31/12/2019 01:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Northamptonshire Police

Good evening neighbourhood alert user,

As some of you may know I have recently changed areas in Wellingborough from the Hemmingwell ward to the Castle Ward Wellingborough and have been getting to know the area of which I know quite well from my local knowledge and having worked Wellingborough for a few years now.

Today 30/12/2019 a driver was stopped along London Road which falls under the Castle police beat area whereby the driver had a dirty unreadable registration plate,as I approached the driver they were using their mobile phone whilst driving.

The driver pulled over onto a side road whereby checks on the vehicle were carried out and a incorrect registration plate was being displayed and the original plate showed the vehicle having no Tax or MOT.

As a result the vehicle was seized which was travelling through the Castle Ward from a visitor outside of Wellingborough and driver reported for various offences.

I am passionate about keeping the Castle Ward safe and protecting your neighbourhood and I hope you share the good news of this result today whereby a potentially dangerous vehicle with no MOT has been taken off our roads of the Castle Ward.

Wishing those celebrating the new year a good time.

Many Thanks

PCSO Craig Blacha (7076)
