Community Engagement Talks

Alert message sent 30/12/2019 09:52:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

Good Morning Citizen

As part of our role with Lancashire Police we aim to take part in as much community engagement as possible. A big part of this is delivering talks to schools, after school clubs, nursery's, play groups, brownie groups and cub groups ect.

Talk subjects differ greatly and we change content to fit with what we are delivering. The most common talks we deliver are online safety, bullying and more recently knife talks. We do a lot of 'People who help us talks' for nursery groups and younger children. We have recently completed talks at Wrea Green Primary School and Kirkham and Wesham Primary School with positive feedback from pupils, staff and parents.

As part of the talks we will bring a long our kit bag so children (and grownups!) can try on our kit and equipment. This is a great way for us to build up a rapport with younger members of the community and improve trust and relations with children.

If you work at a school or are involved in such a group and would like a talk, please reply to this message.
