Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Hello Neighbourhood Watch members,

Here is another reminder that the deadline for outline proposals for the Innovation Fund will soon end, at 12 noon on 10th December and there remains some unallocated money.

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Derbyshire has allocated a total of £2500 to Neighbourhood Watch in Derbyshire for small (approx £100 each) innovative proposals for preventing crime.

With this allocated fund, Derbyshire Neighbourhood Association Trust (DNWAT) and the PCC are looking to funds all proposals that will promote ideas for the prevention of crime in communities in Derbyshire.

An example of this would be, the provision of dustbin stickers bearing the NHW logo and the heading PREVENT CRIME.  (This has been successful in some North Derbyshire communities already).

DNWAT are inviting single applications for up to £100 from local NW schemes and Support groups.

The first stage will be to complete a proposal setting out an initial outline of the idea, including costs.

Once these proposals have been reviewed, a number will be shortlisted and DNWAT may ask for further information. Those selected will then be reviewed by the PCC and a final decision made.

The Attached form should be completed and emailed to the Chair of Derbyshire NW Association Trust:

Gill Riley
