Card collect is a con

Alert message sent 04/12/2019 09:58:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen,

Fraudsters want your PIN number and bank card - don't let them scare you into giving these away.

What should I do if someone contacts me asking for my PIN number and card?

Call the police on 101.

What should I do if I have given my details or my PIN and card to a suspected fraudster?

Ring your bank and cancel your card immediately.

If you have given your details over the phone make sure that you have disconnected from the fraudsters before ringing your bank. If possible use a different phone.
