Investigation complete following discovery of suspicious items in Horton near Datchet

Officers have now left the scene near lakes in Park Lane, Horton after receiving a call at around 4.25pm on Tuesday to reports of suspicious items being located.

Thames Valley Police, a Marine Unit and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team have been on the scene.

In the early stages of the investigation and as a precaution, two controlled explosions were carried out on Tuesday (12/11) evening.

25 non-viable devices have been found, recovered and removed. At no point has there been any ongoing threat to the community.

An investigation led by Thames Valley Police has concluded that these were training devices which had been stolen from a property in London. All of the stolen training aids have been recovered.

The investigation in to the burglary is with the Metropolitan Police.
