Alert message sent 08/11/2019 10:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Two men have been sentenced for drugs offences.

Simeon Brown-Wild (19) was jailed for 42 months for possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.  Pictured below.

Jovan Dontae Smith (19), of Maltravers Way, Sheffield, was given a 16-month sentence, suspended for two years, for being concerned in the supply of both drugs.

The pair were sentenced at Derby Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 7 November) after pleading guilty to the charges at an earlier hearing.

The case against the pair began in September when officers from the Proactive Unit and Safer Neighbourhood team visited Brown-Wild’s flat in Brookbridge Court, Brook Street, Derby, after receiving intelligence that there may have been drugs inside.

They found a large amount of crack cocaine and heroin inside the flat, along with cash, and the men were arrested.
