Beware of fake TVs

Alert message sent 07/11/2019 09:49:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

These TVs were recently seized from a couple of conmen in a South Lanarkshire car park.
If someone tries to sell you a TV out of the back of a van don't buy it. You are not getting a bargain.
The TV is stolen!
It’s not an end of a range sale, an unwanted gift or liquidation stock. These TVs are gubbed, knackered, broken, wrecked and bashed - they just don't work.
The old adage always applies - if it's too good to be true then it is - and this especially applies to buying cheap TVs out of the back of a van.
Please only buy TVs, or anything for that matter, from reputable businesses and definitely not from ne'er-do-wells in a car park.
