Derby policing team on Osmaston Park for Halloween and Bonfire night crime prevention advice

Alert message sent 29/10/2019 12:01:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Officers from our Sinfin and Osmaston Safer Neighbourhood Team will be on Osmaston Park, Derby, later this week handing out advice for Halloween and Bonfire night.

The team will be on the park, Osmaston Park Road, Derby,  between 11am and 2pm on Thursday 31 October.

As well as providing safety advice for this busy time of year they will also be able to security mark bikes for free.

Sergeant Graham Young, who is in charge of the team, said: “We understand that this time of year does provide concerns for some of our communities who get worried about people calling at their door and also the anti-social use of fireworks.

“My officers will be available to offer advice on how to keep and feel safe and explain the law in relation to fireworks.

“As its half-term we are also encouraging people to come down and have their pedal-cycles security marked for free.”

If you are not able to attend but would still like some advice on staying safe please contact your local Safer Neighbourhood team using any of the following non-emergency methods:
