Appeal to Burnley motorists with dash cams

Alert message sent 18/10/2019 17:32:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

Dear Citizen

Detectives are appealing for dash cam footage in connection with a firearms discharge in Burnley.

We were called at shortly after 9pm on Sunday (October 13th) to reports shots had been fired at a property on Colne Road in the town.

Thankfully no-one was injured but damage was caused to a car and a window of the house.

Detectives believe the offender or offenders may have travelled in a white Volkswagen. If you have a dash cam and travelled between junction 10 of the M65, through Westgate and in the vicinity of Colne Road between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on Sunday we want to hear from you.

If you think you travelled in this area at the specified times, please get in touch with us so an officer can arrange to look at your footage.

You can call us on 01282 472244 or email 4048@lancashire.pnn.police.uk quoting log number 1411 of October 13th and someone will get back to you to arrange viewing.

Thanks very much.
