Appeal for Group of Women to Come Forward Following Linthorpe Road Assault

Officers are appealing for a group of women to come forward following a reported assault on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough (close to the junction of Southfield Road/ Princes Road).

The incident occurred on Saturday 12th October at around 8:25pm when a woman in her 30s was reportedly assaulted by a man resulting in the victim suffering facial injuries.

It is believed a group of women assisted the injured woman outside of Housams Ltd shop and officers are appealing for these women to come forward as they may be able to assist with enquiries.

A man aged 32 has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released with bail conditions.  

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact PC Dave Winship from Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 176246.
