Burglaries in Hardwicke and Kingsway

6 gas boilers were stolen from new build houses in Hunts Grove Drive, Hardwicke overnight on 2nd and 3rd October.  Entry was gained to the as yet unoccupied house by smashing windows.

A garage was entered in Woodvale, Kingsway  between 9.20pm on 6th October and 7.45 the following morning.  A dark blue "Planet" bike was stolen.  2 males were seen in the area at around 3.30am and one was carrying some type of implement which may have been a crowbar.

There was also an attempt to enter a garage at a house in Merlin way at around 2.20am on 7th October but nothing was stolen.

The same night a set of drills, a blue coloured road bike and an assortment of golfing equipment was stolen from a garage in Stafford Close.

Please take extra precautions if you keep high value bikes or power tools in garages or sheds.  A simple battery or mains operated alarm can be used to protect these buildings, and all bikes should be security marked and registered with www.bikeregister.com as an extra security measure.
