Alert message sent 01/10/2019 15:59:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

There have been a number of burglaries reported in the Churchdown area over the last 10 days or so.  The details are as follows:
  • The rear patio door to a house in Chosen Drive was smashed between the hours of 7.15pm and 10pm on 17th September.  A TV, moneybox, jewellery and a set of car keys were stolen.
  • An unlocked garage door was the point of entry for burglars who attacked a house in Pirton Lane.  This occurred between 7.30 am and 11.10am on 25th September and a computer and deck player were stolen.
  • At around 10.40pm on 26th September noises that suggested a shed or outbuilding was being forcibly entered were heard in the rear garden of a house in Sandycroft Road.  The police were called but could find no trace of any damage or forced entry.
  • Overnight on 26th and 27th September a green Pinarello road bike and a pink Trek “Madone” road bike were stolen from a garage at a house in Cordingley Close.  The side door to the garage was forced open by the thieves.
  • Finally, an unsuccessful attempt was made to enter a garage at premises in Winston Road.  The owner did hear noises outside between 6.30am and 7.00am on 27th September but did not investigate further at the time.
