CCTV images released following assault - Farmers Close

Thames Valley Police is releasing images of two boys officers would like to speak to following an assault in Whitley.

At 8.52pm on Sunday (22/9), the victim, a man in his twenties, tried to stop a number of youths who were throwing eggs at a property in Farmers Close when he was struck from behind with a metal pole.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

Investigating officer PC Jonathan Bowness, based at Reading police station, said: “I’m releasing these CCTV images as I believe these boys may have vital information about this incident.

“I’m appealing to anyone who recognises these boys or who has any information to contact us by calling the non-emergency number 101 or making a report online, quoting reference number 43190293605.

“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
