Appeal following assault near Guildford

We’re investigating a report of a non-injury assault near to Wood Street Village, Guildford, on Sunday 22 September.

A 31 year-old man was walking along Christmas Pie Trail at around 6:40pm when he was grabbed from behind. Something then struck him in the stomach, but he was not injured and ran home.

The victim described two men who had their faces covered, possibly by masks, who assaulted him.

The first man was described as:
  • White.
  • 6ft 1ins tall.
  • Stocky build and broad shoulders.
  • Piercing blue eyes.
  • Clean shaven.
  • He had a black tribal tattoo on the left hand side of his neck.
  • He was wearing a black long sleeved hooded top with the hood up, blue jeans, and white trainers.
  • He was carrying a knife and had either a tattoo or a ring on his hand.
The second man was described as:
  • Black.
  • Around 5ft 5ins tall.
  • Skinny, but with a bulging stomach.
  • He was wearing a long sleeved camouflaged hooded top, which was green, black, and white in colour. He was also wearing black jogging bottoms, which had a white zigzag line going down the side of them, and brown shoes.
