Good news but we can not afford to rest on our laurels

Alert message sent 19/09/2019 13:56:00

Information sent on behalf of South Yorkshire Police

Following arrest and conviction of two key offenders for burglary, the incidence of burglaries in Shafton has significantly reduced with only 2 offences reported over the last 6 weeks. Whilst this is good news we would still urge residents to be vigilant, securing any outbuildings containing expensive items with a good quality lock and making sure windows are not left open making it easy for offenders so together we can try to prevent anyone being subject to this type of offending.
