Burglaries up to 18th Sept

Between 8th & 11th Sept. offenders have gained access to the rear of a new build property in Barley Road, Prestbury by using a wheelie bin to unlock the latch on the side gate, then using a pair of gardening shears to lift a paving slab which in turn has been thrown through a patio window. Entry gained to the house with all rooms searched with gift cards and jewellery stolen. Inc. 312 11-09-19 Prestbury
Between 2pm & 2.05pm on 11th Sept a handbag was taken from the window sill of an open window of a house in Canterbury Walk. The handbag contained a mobile phone, an apple watch and a ring. Handbag stolen from outside the property. Inc. 484 11-09-19 Benhall
Recorded at 4.38am on 13th Sept of offenders breaking into a house in Church Road Swindon village. Entry gained by forcing a rear ground floor window. Owners are away on holiday at the moment so it is not known what if anything has been stolen. Inc. 350 13-09-19 Swindon Village
Between 12md & 1pm 17th Sept a walk in theft occurred at a house in Cirencester Road undergoing repairs whist it was empty. Stolen was jewellery and a purse containing euros. Inc. 396  17-09-19 Charlton Kings
Wherever possible prevent access to the rear of your property and/or consider movement senor security lights and CCTV.
Always secure your property when you leave or if you are in the rear garden or upstairs etc.
