Man and woman assaulted in Salisbury city centre - appeal for witnesses

We’re appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man and woman in Salisbury city centre. 

At approximately 2.35am on Saturday 24 August, a man and a woman aged in their 20s, were walking along Catherine Street when they were approached from behind by a group of three men as they reached the alleyway by Cash Converters. 

The man was punched from behind to the head and face numerous times and sustained cuts and bruising to his eye. The woman was grabbed around the throat.

The three suspects ran off into the Old George Mall and may have left the area in a taxi. 

One of the suspects is described as aged approximately 30, with stubble on his face, brown eyes, brown hair which was gelled and styled at the front. 

We’d like to hear from anyone who saw the incident take place or anyone who may have seen the three men running from the scene.
