Crime and Policing Updates for Castle and Swanspool Wards between Wednesday August 21 and Tuesday August 27.
  • Unknown person/s smashed door frame and lock to gain entry to property on Market Street. Accessed not gained as shelving had been erected behind door, CCTV possible available. Between stated date and times off Tuesday August 22 at 18.00hrs, and Wednesday August 23 at 07.00hrs.
  • Unknown suspects gained entry to victim’s car by unknown means whilst parked on Cannon Street. The car was left locked and secure, and when he returned he found the car unlocked and rear door ajar, it had been extensively searched and items taken. Between stated dates and times off Friday August 23 at 23.59hrs, and Saturday August 24 11.00hrs.
  • Suspects have driven through gate on site in vehicle with false number plates, on Mill Road, stopped in front of a container, and lock has been cut off, entry gained and very valuable tools have been stolen. On Saturday August 24 between times off 21.45hrs, and 21.50hrs.   
  • Owner leaves her car unlocked on Poplar Street and items are stolen and cards are used at chip and pin device at nearby petrol station. Between stated dates and times off Wednesday August 23 at 23.00hrs, and Thursday August 24 at 07.00hrs.
  • Unknown suspects have attempted to gain access to rear of property on Waterside Road, causing damage to door hinges. Between stated dates and times off Sunday August 25 at 01.30hrs, and Monday August 26 at 10.30hrs.
