Theft from motor vehicles in the Moortown area

Afternoon everyone,
Just to make you aware of two theft from vehicles in the Moortown area in the last 48 hours. Please find details below:
1) Theft from motor vehicle in the King Lane area. Occurred between 13/08/2019 at 13.00 and 14/08/2019 at 09.30. Between times stated vehicle is parked on driveway and believed to be left insecure. Unknown suspect/s enter boot and remove property before making off with items unseen. Some items have been discovered at neighbours house following a burglary. Reference number * 415145.
2) Theft from motor vehicle in the King Lane area. Occurred between 13/08/2019 at 19.00 and 14/08/2019 at 06.00. Vehicle is left locked and secure outside of address. Unknown suspect/s gain entry to the vehicle by unknown means and make off with multiple items including laptop. Reference number * 415099.

Please if possible do not leave valuable items in your vehicles at any time. Small items such as sat navs, dash cams and laptops can be sold quickly by offenders.

There will be an increase in police patrols in the area whenever possible.
