Appeal following burglary in Meysey Hampton

We're appealing for information following a burglary in Meysey Hampton, near Cirencester, on the evening of Tuesday 13 August.

At approximately 5.10pm police were called to the village with a report that three men had just left an address carrying items.

They were spotted by two members of the public who were subsequently threatened with weapons. The offenders then fled the scene in a vehicle.

Investigating officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has seen a vehicle in the area, or surrounding area, which had a foreign registration plate. 

Anyone with information about the incident or who has seen suspicious activity in the area is asked to call police on 101 and reference incident 316 of 13 August.

The homeowners were not at the address at the time of the burglary and the members of the public were not physically injured. It is not yet known what was stolen in the burglary.
