Weekly Policing Update - The Hemingfords District

Good Afternoon, Hemingfords District Members –
All of the items are road-related in our summary of offences and incidents affecting your community this week, covering the period 6th to 12th August:

A14 Near Hemingford Abbots – Police were called to the A14 near Hemingford Abbots on Wednesday morning, 7th August, where a motorcyclist had been in a collision with a car. An air ambulance and recovery services were also called, as one person was reported to be slightly hurt and the motorcycle was badly damaged. (Ref CC-07082019-0097)
Galley Hill A14 Flyover – Police were called to another collision involving a motorcyclist on Thursday evening, 8th August, this time at the Galley Hill flyover over the A14. One person was reported to be slightly hurt and both damaged vehicles needed to be towed away by recovery services. (Ref CC-08082019-0450)
A14 Eastbound Hemingford Grey – Police and Highways Officers dealt with a multiple collision on the Eastbound A14 near Hemingford Grey on Friday evening, 9th August, involving three lorries and a car. Fortunately no-one was hurt, but one lane of the carriageway was closed for a time and recovery services were needed to tow away one damaged vehicle. (Ref CC-09082019-0407)
