Weekly Crime summary


Crimes will be listed by location under the headings of Salisbury, Alderbury (area traditionally policed from Alderbury Police Stn) and Wilton (area traditionally policed from Wilton Police Stn).

Please find below a summary of local crimes which have been reported since Fri 12th July (Please note this is a summary, it is not possible to list all crimes due to confidentiality issues e.g. some violent offences or for domestic disputes).

Salisbury

13/07 – Criminal Damage (o/night) – Westwood Rd – brick thrown at front window causing damage
13/07 – Theft (o/night) – Newton Rd, Churchfields – front and rear registration plates stolen from van
13/07 – Theft – Devizes Rd – offender stole mountain bike – owner later (14/07) spotted the bike in City centre and managed to recover it – CCTV enqs ongoing
15/07 – Burglary (5am) – Fulton Rd, Bishopdown – male suspect damaged gate and then attempted to force entry to outbuilding. Challenged by resident and made off – male/ white 6ft tall, aged in early 20’s, dark hair
15/07 – Theft (6-45-7-45am) – Middleton Rd – registration plates stolen from car
15/07 – Theft (over 3 day period) – Castle Street – lead flashing stolen from roof
16/07 – Theft (over 2 day period) – Stratford Rd – offender entered van and stole power tools – saw/ router/ drills
17/07 – Theft (over 1 month) – Salt Lane – lead flashing stolen from flat roof
19/07 – Criminal Damage (o/night) – One Stop Bishopdown – concrete block thrown at window causing it to shatter – no entry gained

Alderbury community area

16/07 – Theft (approx. 5pm) – Ford – wallet stolen from lorry cab – card later used locally to make purchase – CCTV enqs ongoing
17/07 – Criminal Damage (o/night) – Homington Rd, Coombe Bissett – padlock cut to allow entry to fields – nothing stolen
17/07 – Criminal Damage (approx. 9-30pm) – Laverstock – projectile fired at door causing glass panel to shatter
18/07 – Burglary (o/night) – West Grimstead – gained entry to garage and stole 4 fuel containers – later located nearby

Wilton community area

15/07 – Burglary (over 2 day period) – West St Wilton – offender cut hole in roof to access store and showroom – search made and chainsaws stolen
15/07 – Theft (over 2 day period) – Livestock market – accessed site, hitched and stole galvanised metal single axle trailer loaded with bags of sand and cement
